Three carol concerts in one day....

Tuesday, 02 December, 2014 - Modified on Tuesday, 02 December, 2014 at 7:56 pm

Brewood Singers begin their Christmas season on Saturday 13th December when they will be giving three concerts.

They begin at 1.30 in the afternoon when they will sing a selection of carols to entertain customers at the Wergs Garden Centre, just outside Codsall.  This will be their first visit to this garden centre.

Then it’s on to the Sunrise Residential home on Tettenhall Road.  A warm welcome is always given by the residents  - this will be Brewood Singers’ third Christmas visit to Sunrise where the residents often join in singing the popular carols.

Finally, in the evening, the Singers will be presenting a full carol concert at St. Joseph’s Church on the Willenhall Road, East Park, Wolverhampton.

“Last year we made our first visit to this delightful church” explains Musical Director David Brookes.  “I took the opportunity of inviting them to our own Carol Concert in Brewood.  Some of the congregation took me at my word and hired a minibus!  Now, here we are, back again and looking forward to the occasion.”

The evening of Monday 22nd December will see a repeat visit of  the Brewood Singers at the Black Country Living Museum, singing carols around the whole site.

Finally, on Thursday 17th December, commencing at 7.30 pm, Simon Platford (trumpet) and Michael Davey (organ) will join the Brewood Singers for their annual Carol Concert in the Church of St. Mary and St. Chad in Brewood.

Tickets, available on the door and from Secretary Pat Mumford  (tel. 01902 850377),
cost £6.

Information about concerts and joining Brewood Singers is available from the Brewood Singers’ web site, www.brewoodsingers.co.uk and secretary Pat Mumford  01902 85037.
