Brewood gets ready for big switch on......

Sunday, 16 November, 2014 - Modified on Sunday, 16 November, 2014 at 11:12 pm

The annual switch on of the Brewood Christmas lights takes place on Sunday 30th November beginning at 3pm in the village square. However, this year it could be YOU flicking the switch!

Organised by the ladies responsible for the renown and successful “Brewood Race for Life” and supported by Brewood Rotary, families are being given the opportunity to ‘Stroll with Santa’, helping the big guy in the red coat on his way into the village square.

Families interested in taking part should meet at Brewood Cricket Club at 2.15pm (parking is available) ready to take a short walk to meet up with Santa and his sleigh at a secret location before he heads into the village for the big event. Walkers will then accompany Santa into the square with everyone involved in with a chance to turn on Brewood’s Christmas lights for 2014. To take part a family donation of £5 is suggested with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. For more information please see the poster below.

Aside from the Santa stroll you can expect all the usual fun and entertainment along with stalls, food and mulled wine!

Come and mark the start of the festive season in the way that only Brewood knows how!

Please see poster below for details of the Stroll with Santa. Also below are details of the road closure information for the event.
