Brewood has scooped the best kept large village title in South Staffordshire in the county’s Community Council Awards.

Brewood claimed top spot from 14 villages.
Ian Tipper co-ordinated Brewood's entry and speaking to the local press said “The award is not just about which village looks the best, it is about the work that goes into keeping it that way.
“This means a great deal for Brewood. It has raised the village’s mood and everyone has given everyone a smile on their face. It gives people a sense of pride and makes you think that picking up that bit of litter does make a difference.”
Brewood was classed amongst the large villages given it has a population of more than 1,000. Highly commended entrants were Kinver, Lower Penn, Penkridge and Wombourne.
