“The Blue-Eyed Beggars” are a blues-rock trio, originally from the Midlands but now based in the north-west, with Dave Gough on lead guitar and vocals, Wayne “Bodge” Hodgkiss on bass guitar and vocals and Julian “Pakka” Parkes on drums.
All three musicians have played in a myriad of bands over the years and gigged extensively in the UK, Europe and South America.
Dave and Bodge were original members of “Richochet”, a Birmingham band which continues to record and play the odd festival to this day with Dave on lead guitar, and which supported such bands as Ruby Turner and the Cutting Crew in the late 70s/early 80s.
As well as the Blue-Eyed Beggars, Bodge is also currently a member of the soul-funk band “Tabasco”, Dave plays all genres of music in various duos and Pakka plays with “The Adams Jovi Experience”, the theatre show “The Best Days of our Lives” and “Big Jim’s Boogie Band” with “Big Jim” of “Red Lemon Electric Blues Band” fame.
