First class response to Bridge charity push

Friday, 16 November, 2012 - Modified on Friday, 16 November, 2012 at 2:15 pm

Leading up to their big Bonfire Party recently staff at Brewood's Bridge Inn decided it would be a good idea to raise some money for a local charity.

Throughout the week money was collected in aid of Brewood District First Responders before a raffle at the Bonfire Party itself took the total up to an impressive £200.

Brewood District Community First Responders are a group of volunteers trained by West Midlands Ambulance service to response to emergency 999 calls within our local community. Volunteers live within the Brewood and immediate surrounding areas. All the volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and careers and all vary in age.

All running costs need to be covered by donations, local fund raising and sponsorship. The Responders need funds to cover day to day running costs such as fuel, mobile phones and medical equipment.

The picture below shows from left to right Russ Tomlinson, Jenny Potts and Julie Brickett from The Bridge Inn presenting the cheque to Dave Copcutt from the First Responders.
