Seeing stars at Barnfield Sandbeds

Tuesday, 13 November, 2012 - Modified on Tuesday, 13 November, 2012 at 9:28 am

There's a great opportunity this coming weekend to explore the night sky above Barnfield Sandbeds.

From 9pm on Friday (or Saturday if Friday isn't clear) you can experience the Leonids Meteor shower and see a number of deep sky objects.

There will be telescopes available and some Astronomers on site to act as tour guides! You can bring your own telescope if you wish but bright white torches are not permitted. These can destroy your night vision for around 20 minutes so red lights are preferred.
