Pupils from Vernon Lodge School in Stretton got their chance yesterday to stage their very own art exhibition at The Mess in Brewood.
Children presented work that had been completed during an after school Art Club led by Jane Plowright.
There was a wide variety of work on view, influenced by a wide range of Artists and styles. The budding artists even took the opportunity of putting a valuation on their work in pursuit of an elusive sale. Valuations ranged wildly from £10 to £10,000!
Vernon Lodge Headteacher Pat Sills said "Vernon Lodge children are very excited to know that their art work is being exhibited at 'The Mess' in Brewood.”
“They were pleased to join their Art tutor Mrs Jane Plowright at 'The Mess' this afternoon as she introduced their work and presented certificates. Art club is one of the most popular extra curricular activities at Vernon Lodge, where children are allowed to explore various media and express themselves. The results are reflected in the exhibits.”
“It was a most enjoyable occasion, where parents, teachers and friends were able to admire the exhibits. Work will be displayed for the next two weeks if any one would like to visit 'The Mess' and enjoy the variety of styles."
Pictures show a small selection of the work on view but make sure you pop in to The Mess and take a proper look for yourself.
